The first edition of the Japan – Kyoto Trade Exhibition will be held next Monday at the Dubai World Trade Center, with the participation of over 100 Japanese companies and institutions in various technological, industrial, and creative sectors.
According to organizers, the exhibition is considered the first comprehensive platform to showcase the innovations of Japanese companies to the business sector and investors in the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, with major support from the government of Kyoto Prefecture in Japan, which is a center for advanced technology industry, and the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, as well as several Japanese trade organizations.
The exhibition, organized by the Japanese company “Maiko Enterprise”, aims to contribute to enhancing economic and trade links between the United Arab Emirates, Japan, and the Middle East in general.
It is expected that the exhibition, which lasts for three days, will attract over 20,000 visitors from government and private sector leaders, businessmen, company owners, and investors from the United Arab Emirates, Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and the Middle East region.
May Sakawai, the CEO of Maiko Enterprise, the organizing institution of the exhibition, stated that the exhibition is the first comprehensive platform that showcases over 100 companies from Japan, highlighting their latest innovations in various sectors and industries such as technology, manufacturing, food, traditional crafts, electronic games, and other industries that embody Japan’s global status in general, and specifically Kyoto, which serves as a major hub for advanced industries in Japan.
She added that the exhibition would provide an opportunity to open up new avenues of cooperation and partnership between Japanese and Emirati companies, as well as explore the available opportunities in the UAE markets, where a large number of Japanese companies already exist.
She expressed her aspirations to enhance the bilateral trade relations between the UAE and Japan, and to open more markets for Japanese products through Dubai, which has solidified its position as one of the prominent trade hubs in the region and the world.
Additionally, she mentioned the UAE’s significant role in international trade, which opens the door to a consumer base of over 400 million people. The UAE’s strategic international relations and comprehensive economic partnerships provide Japanese companies with access to many markets.
