Kazakhstan’s exports to China by rail rose, with 8.3 million tons of various goods delivered to China during the first half of 2023, an annual increase of 37%.
In particular, grain exports increased 3 times, reaching 1 million tons, and vegetable oil exports to China grew 70% to 75 thousand tons.
On the other hand, Kazakhstan’s imports of Chinese goods in the first half of this year rebounded by 13% to 5.4 million tons.
The total volume of rail transport between countries was 13.7 million tons, which is 26% higher year-on-year.
