The Government of Uzbekistan has launched the Namangan Wastewater Treatment Plant Project (WWTP), a public-private partnership project (PPP) developed by the UAE company Matito.
The media reported that the project was aimed at paying more foreign direct investment in Uzbekistan’s basic infrastructure projects.

It is the first public-private partnership project in Uzbekistan’s water sector.
The project’s capacity is 100,000 cubic meters/day, and a pipeline for liquid waste disposal is 7.5 km. The UAE company obtained the $100 million wastewater treatment project in January last year.
