The number of jobs available to those in their 40s in South Korea declined for the tenth month in April as the country’s industrial sector deteriorated, official data showed on Sunday.
According to Statistics South Korea, jobs for this age group have been declining on an annual basis since July, with jobs falling by 22 thousand compared to Babril 2022.
The decline in jobs for those in the 1940s is driven by the decline in the industrial sector, reflecting the stalling of exports under the uncertainty of the global economy.
In April, jobs fell by 97 thousand.
