Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce said on Friday it had issued a special order to allow trade-in trade with Afghanistan, Iran and Russia in certain goods.
In the midst of a grinding economic crisis and its foreign exchange reserves, Pakistan was only enough to cover imports for one month.
The order, called the 2023 Inter-Firm Bartering Mechanism, allows the import of gas, gasoline and other goods from Iran and Russia with a barter system.
In April, Pakistan purchased the first Russian oil shipment at a reduced price, but there was no confirmation of the method of payment.
