Kazakh National Statistics Office data showed on Wednesday that the country’s wheat stock stood at 6.64 million tons as of early June, compared with 3.44 million tons during the same period last year.
Overall, grain stocks at the beginning of this month reached 8.07 million tons, according to Apk-Inform’s data.
In particular, maize stocks fell to 97 1,000 tons early this month, and barley stocks reached 1.01 million tons.
Kazakh exporters expressed concern about the country’s large grain stock carried over from last season, which could negatively affect prices in the country.
