Pakistan and Denmark reaffirmed on Thursday their commitment to joint ventures in the field of renewable energy and green transformation, which was supported by technological progress and collaborative partnerships between the two countries.
Accordingly, Denmark’s Minister of Cooperation met with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, to promote cooperation and discuss the strategy for action on the Green Framework Agreement 2023/2027, signed in August 2022.
The two sides also discussed bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Denmark in the political, trade, economic, investment, agricultural, information technology and energy fields with a major focus in the areas of climate change and green transformation.
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister hoped that international companies would be incentivized to invest in Pakistan’s wind and green energy sectors, thereby contributing to the sustainable development process.
Under the Green Framework Agreement, countries would work together to overcome the challenge of climate change, and that would help create a health partnership in a green framework that would also create more economic opportunities between the two countries.
