According to Pakistani media, Russia received a second shipment of 55,000 tons of crude oil to Pakistan, noting that it was shipped to Pakistan’s port of Karachi.
Daily Pakistan reported that Russian oil was shipped by Clédy Noble, according to an agreement between Pakistan and Russia.
Prior to that on June 11, Pakistan received the first batch of Russian energy resources, with a cargo volume of 45 thousand tons.
Last January, representatives of the Governments of Pakistan and Russia reached an agreement on the supply of Russian oil, and logistics, insurance, payments and export volume issues were agreed.
As part of Pakistan’s energy security plan, oil, liquefied natural gas, pipe gas and other fuels will be imported from Russia. Islamabad expects imports from Russia to meet up to 35% of Pakistan’s future oil needs.
