On Thursday, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Murat Nortlow, discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in transport and outer space between the two countries.
In statements to reporters following his talks in the Kazakh capital with Luxembourg’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Murat Nortlow said that developing a partnership with Luxembourg based on friendship and mutual trust was one of the priorities of his country’s foreign policy in the European Union.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, according to Kazinform News Agency, confirmed that there is considerable potential for enhanced cooperation in transport and outer space between Kazakhstan and Luxembourg.
The volume of trade between us increased 2.5 times in 2022 and 4.5 times from January to April this year, and officials of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and Industry are expected to visit Kazakhstan, during which we will focus on areas of mutual interest, especially as we are ready to create favourable conditions for Luxembourg companies wishing to enter our market.”
There was also great potential for enhanced cooperation in the field of transport and peaceful exploration of outer space between Kazakhstan and Luxembourg, revealing the two sides’ willingness to arrange another round of diplomatic consultations next year in Astana in order to continue to exchange views on the current agenda and new directions of cooperation.
