Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan have all signed a joint protocol linking Uzbekistan’s railway network to Pakistan’s railways.
It was reported that the railway road would pass through Tarmez in Uzbekistan, Mazar-i-Sharif and Logar in Afghanistan, ending in Pakistan through the Kharlachi border crossing in Koram.
This line is to assist passenger and freight services and will contribute to regional trade and economic growth.
Islamabad witnessed the signing of memorandums of cooperation between States in the presence of Railway Minister Saad Rafiq and Finance Minister Yitzhak Dar.
