Major internet companies in China have seen significant increases in profits during the first half of this year.
The data showed that major internet companies saw their cumulative profits increase by 27.6 percent year-on-year to a total of 63.96 billion yuan (about 8.97 billion U.S. dollars) during this period.
The combined business revenues of these companies amounted to 643.3 billion yuan, an increase of 2.6 percent year-on-year.
Companies that provide mainly online sales services also saw an increase in their online business revenues by 37.4 percent compared to the same period last year.
