Increased prices for fiber optic network plans from TMV Malaysia

TM, a Malaysian telecommunications company, plans to raise the prices of its fiber optic network (Unifi) plans. Where a 1 Gbps speed plan will be defined at a cost of Myr 378.90 per month. While a 2 Gbps speed plan will cost MYR 428.90 per month.

TM had offered these plans at lower introductory rates, with the 1 Gbps plan priced at RM349 per month and the 2 GB plan priced at RM399 per month. But these prices were available only for a limited time. Existing customers who have registered with the introductory prices will be obliged to pay the same subscription fee.

TM justifies the price increase that the new bundled plans offer more value and a seamless customer experience. The plans now include the Unifi TV Ultimate Max that comes with Netflix Standard. Subscribers also get streaming apps such as Disney+ Hotstar, Viu, iQiyi, Lionsgate Play and beIN SPORTS CONNECT, as well as more than 70 premium channels.

TM assures customers that the previous fiber optic + TV network plans are still available at the original price At Unifi stores across the country. In addition, customers have the option to customize their package and purchase valuable additional services, even if they do not want to get additional video streaming services.
