The government of Kazakhstan and the Abu Dhabi Ports Group are discussing the establishment of a joint venture that would help in shipping agricultural exports from Kazakhstan to the Gulf.

Serik jumanjarin, deputy prime minister of Kazakhstan, discussed the project with Daoud Tafti, CEO of cematech shipping company, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Ports Group.
Kazakhstan, a landlocked country, exports grain and oilseeds mostly to neighboring Central Asian countries and China, and some exports are shipped to Black Sea ports via Russia.
