According to official statistics, Uzbekistan’s information technology sector has grown rapidly amid new records.

Exports for the first half of 2023 exceeded annual exports for 2022.
ITPARC’s population exports increased 2.7 times compared to the first half of last year and reached $145.3 million. It should be noted that exports for the first half of the year exceeded the year 2022’s annual exports of $140.9 million. For the first half of 2023, 45% of exports fall to the USA share, 14% – UK, 8% – EU countries, 33% – to other countries such as Singapore, UAE, Sweden, Canada, Korea, etc.
When analysing the structure of information technology services exports by region, there is a shift in the population’s income from outsourcing services (BPO) to higher value-added services, especially software development and game development, compared to the first half of 2022.
One can note a decline in the share of exports of business operations outsourcing services from 63% in 2022 to 20% in 2023, but taking into account significant export growth in areas such as toy development, which amounted to US $15.2 million (an increase of 16.7 times from US $0.9 million). The export value of software products was $60 million (3.8 times higher than $15.7 million) and total technical support services provided was $10.8 million (6 times higher than $1.8 million)
