More than 1.5 million minors in flood-affected areas need life-saving food interventions. About four million children do not have access to clean drinking water.
Abdullah Fadil, UNICEF representative in Pakistan, said that “vulnerable children living in flood-affected areas have experienced a terrible year”, according to the organization’s statement.
The organization also warned of a lack of funding for relief efforts.
