Central Asian countries have a high potential for comprehensive cooperation, which can have a positive impact on the development of trade and economic and innovative cooperation, Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Sardor Juraev said.
“For our country, cooperation with the countries of Central Asia is considered the most important strategic direction of foreign economic activity,” Juraev said.
“Close relations within the Central Asian region have an objective nature in terms of achieving greater socio-economic results with joint and coordinated use of resources and capabilities of countries,” Juraev added.
“The countries of Central Asia have great production and scientific and technical potential, which were historically created by the joint efforts of the people,” he added.
“With the rational use of market mechanisms and coordinated actions, we can ensure the necessary level of total renewal of economic development, including the wide attraction of foreign capital,” Juraev explained.
The minister expressed the importance of concentrating resources in the sectors of industry and transport, commercial structures, and financial institutions for the formation of modern infrastructure in the economies of developing countries in Central Asia.
“In order to expand e-commerce and economic development, it is necessary to actively use the existing transit corridors and logistics infrastructure of our countries,” he added.
According to him, efforts should also be made to identify and remove obstacles in the transport and communication sectors and to facilitate the opening of new logistics corridors in the region.
