Uzbekistan exempts 678 types of technological equipment from import duties

Uzbekistan has expanded the list of equipment exempt from customs duties and VAT when imported into the country, analogues of which are not produced in the republic.

The equipment includes tower cranes, greenhouse equipment and others. The powers of the government commission on foreign trade are expanding.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution on simplifying the import of a number of types of industrial and other machines into Uzbekistan.

The document expands the list of technological equipment exempt from customs duties and VAT when imported into Uzbekistan, analogues of which are not produced in the republic (there were 678 categories in total).

The list includes 678 types of technological equipment, including:

–wheel lifting trusses, portal loaders.

–tower cranes.

–pneumatic lifts and conveyors for textile fibers.

–other pneumatic lifts and conveyors;

–bucket elevators and continuous conveyors.

–belt elevators and conveyors.

–roller conveyors.

–other elevators and conveyors.

–sorting machines, as well as machines for putting envelopes, tying, opening, closing, sealing mail, gluing, and canceling stamps.

–equipment for producing tobacco sticks.

–alternating current generators (power 375–750 kVA).

–alternating current generators (with a capacity of more than 750 kVA).

-equipment for high-temperature welding.

–mining dump trucks with a carrying capacity of over 50 tons.

-greenhouse technology and equipment.

– nuclear reactors.

– equipment and devices for isotope separation.

– equipment for milk processing.

– equipment for the production of bakery products, pasta, spaghetti or similar products.

– equipment for the confectionery industry, the production of cocoa powder or chocolate.

– equipment for processing meat or poultry.

– yarn dyeing machines.

– automatic sewing machines.

– civil passenger aircraft with more than 50 seats, but less than 300 people.

The powers of the Government Commission on Foreign Trade, Investment, Development of Local Industry and Technical Regulation are expanding. It will determine the list of equipment from the above list older than three years, which can be imported without paying duties.
