Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Trade and Integration announced a sharp rise in flour prices in most regions of the Republic.
“The flour prices increased in 13 regions: Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Almaty, Atyrau, Zambil, Kyzylorda, Kostanay, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Turkestan, Zhetysu, and Ulitau,” according to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Trade and Integration.
The Ministry took over the issue of timely grain shipments from the food enterprise’s reserves as well as the development of regional flour flows.
“Work was quickly carried out to meet the needs, and we have created a list of flour mill operators and sent a request to the food company to ship the grain in a timely manner,” according to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Trade and Integration.
“We are studying the issue of conducting inspections on price collusion and anti-competitive actions of market participants, as well as taking appropriate measures within the framework of antimonopoly legislation,” the Ministry added.
