The Uzbekistan president, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting to discuss the economic results of the first nine months of this year, indicators expected by the end of the year, and macroeconomic forecasts for 2024.
“Uzbekistan’s economy grew by 5.8% in January–September. Growth in industry was 5.7%, agriculture 4.1%, and services 12.1%. “Exports increased by 23.5% to USD 17.7 billion,” the meeting showed.
By the end of the year, GDP growth is expected to reach at least 5.6%.
The Uzbekistan president stressed that the difficult and uncertain situation that the world is experiencing has a negative impact on the economy, so it is necessary to make greater use of internal opportunities to continue sustainable economic growth.
