Kazakhstan’s deputy minister of agriculture, Azat Sultanov, said that the republic’s grain harvest is sufficient to fulfill local demand.
“The grain harvest is sufficient to supply domestic demand. Grain exports would be lowered owing to a lesser harvest than last year, with no impact on the home market,” Sultanov stated on the sidelines of the “KazAgro-2023” international exhibition.
“The government expects to export five million tons of grain this year, down from seven-eight million tons last year,” Sultanov added.
“There are no prerequisites for a grain export prohibition in Kazakhstan,” said Kazakhstan’s deputy minister of agriculture.
