The Central Asian area is very important to Siemens Energy in terms of energy collaboration, a source at Siemens Energy told “Trend” News Agency.
“Currently, Siemens is actively involved in conversations with numerous Central Asian partners to investigate prospects for utilizing our cutting-edge technology in the field of sustainable energy,” the source said.
The agreements with local enterprises, according to the source, would help the region move toward a more sustainable and ecologically friendly energy landscape.
The Kazakhstan Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) inked an agreement earlier this month to undertake a regional program for water resource management in Central Asia.
The program, which includes Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, is part of the German Federal Government’s regional Green Central Asia climate and security effort.
The program’s purpose is to implement integrated water resource management at the regional level while accounting for climate concerns.
In the meantime, Siemens stressed the need for mutually beneficial growth between Germany and Central Asia.
