The UAE and Saudi financial markets achieved market gains estimated at 167 billion dollars during the third quarter of this year, according to the Arab Monetary Fund.
The Fund pointed out in the Quarterly Bulletin of the Arab Capital Markets, issued today, Friday, that the UAE markets achieved in the third quarter market gains of about 32.5 billion dollars, distributed by 20.7 billion dollars for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and 11.8 billion dollars for the Dubai Financial Market.
The market capitalization of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange increased from 755.9 billion dollars by the end of the second quarter of this year to 776.7 billion dollars by the end of the third quarter, while the market capitalization of the Dubai Financial Market reached 189.7 billion dollars, up from 177.8 billion dollars.
She said that the Saudi financial market achieved market gains of about 134.1 billion dollars with an increase in its market value from 2.908 trillion dollars to 3.04 trillion dollars.
She pointed out that the market capital of Qatar Stock Exchange increased from 162.6 billion dollars to 165.8 billion dollars with gains exceeding 3.2 billion dollars, while the Egyptian Stock Exchange achieved gains of about 7 billion dollars and its market capital increased from 37.5 billion dollars to 44.5 billion dollars.
She pointed out that the Casablanca Stock Exchange recorded gains of about 1.76 billion dollars and its capital reached 58.9 billion dollars at the end of the third quarter of this year compared to 57.2 billion dollars in the second quarter of 2023.
She added that the market capital of Boursa Kuwait by the end of the third quarter of this year reached 133.07 billion dollars, the Muscat Stock Exchange to 61.04 billion dollars, the Bahrain Bourse to 20.19 billion dollars, and the Amman Stock Exchange to 23.8 billion dollars.
The market capital of the Beirut Stock Exchange was about 18.2 billion dollars, the Tunis stock exchange about 7.4 billion dollars, the Palestine stock exchange 4.88 billion dollars, the Damascus stock exchange about 4 billion dollars and the Algiers stock exchange 553 million dollars.
