Fidelity Investment’s Global Macroeconomic Director, Jorian Timmer, shared his revised forecast for bitcoin (BTC), predicting that it could rise to more than $96,210 by 2025.
Timmer’s analysis depends on several key factors, including real interest rates, inflation, global adoption patterns, and the Internet adoption curve trajectory.
According to Timmer, this complex factor interaction can significantly affect Bitcoin’s future valuation.
Currently, bitcoin trades at $34,991. However, if the real interest rate for inflation-protected securities (TIPS) maintains its current level of +2.5%, Timer suggests that bitcoin could reach a value of $41,553 by 2025.
Timmer expects a more dramatic scenario if real prices fall to -2% in 2021, as bitcoin is likely to rise to $96,210, a significant increase of 175%.
