Kyrgyzstan’s coal imports decreased by half in the period from January to September this year.
According to the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic data, Kyrgyzstan imported 469.5 thousand tons of coal this year.
Kyrgyzstan imported: “Ordinary coal: 459.4 thousand tons (821.5 thousand tons were imported in the same period last year). Brown coal: 10.1 thousand tons.“
The reason for the decrease in import volumes has not been determined.
Kazakhstan supplies almost all of Kyrgyzstan’s imported coal.
