The Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture announced that Kazakhstan has approved the export of frozen meat to Iran, as the bilateral memorandum was signed in Tehran.
“The document opened new export routes for the supply of frozen meat to local ranchers. Until now, only Kazakh producers could deliver frozen beef to Iran with a shelf life of up to 3 days,” the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture said.
The agreement document stipulates the following requirements:
Veterinary and sanitary requirements for the import of frozen boneless beef:
The Iranian side proposes veterinary and health requirements for importing frozen bone-removed beef from Kazakhstan. After agreeing on veterinary and health requirements, the heads of the Iranian Veterinary Organization and the Chairman of the Veterinary Control and Supervision Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan will agree and sign an agreement on opening the export of frozen bone-free beef from Kazakhstan to Iran.
Inclusion of dairy companies in Iran in the Register of Third States having the right to import into the territory of the EAEU and Kazakhstan:
The Kazakh side is ready to cooperate on the inclusion of Iranian dairy companies in the register of third countries entitled to import dairy products into the territory of EAEU and Kazakhstan after joint scrutiny and inspection with the participation of inspectors of EAEU and Kazakhstan, Iranian veterinary services, and dairy companies in Iran.
Scientific documents related to the expiration date of cattle meat in vacuum packaging:
At the request of the Kazakh side to increase the shelf life of livestock meat in vacuum packaging from 3 to 16 days, the Iranian side requested scientific documents from Kazakhstan regarding the expiration date.
The Iranian Veterinary Organization will consider documents submitted by the Import and Export Technical Committee.
