Uzbekistan has curtailed the operating hours of methane gas stations in order to minimize delays in gas delivery to families and social institutions, according to the Ministry of Energy.
“The population’s demand for natural gas has grown in recent days owing to the chilly weather. This resulted in an increase in population gas consumption and a considerable fall in gas pressure. This scenario will be monitored until the 16th of December,” Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy said.
“Measures are being implemented to limit the operating hours of CNG filling stations in order to offer uninterrupted natural gas supply to the populace. Methane gas stations will operate from 6 AM to 3 PM, according to the plan,” Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy said in a statement.
All areas of Uzbekistan have been subjected to a temporary ban.
At the end of November, the appropriate departments announced that Uzbekistan’s energy system was fully prepared for the winter season.
