Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said that Russia is exploring the possibility of increasing exports of oil and petroleum products to Uzbekistan.
According to him, based on the results of the Republic’s geological exploration, the discovery of the gas fields is expected.
“Russia is considering the possibility of increasing exports of oil and petroleum products to Uzbekistan,” Manturov said during the meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee on Economic Cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan.
“The fruitful interaction between the parties in the area of standardization and metrics. At present, recommended lists of testing equipment have been formed to update and modify testing laboratories on the Uzbek side,” he added.
“As a result, it will be possible to assess compliance with the requirements of 15 technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). We attach great importance to cooperation in the energy sector. We are exploring the possibility of increasing the supply of oil and petroleum products to Uzbekistan,” Manturov said.
“Russia supported Uzbekistan’s desire to develop its own mineral resource base and was ready to continue discussing partnerships in the fields of geology and underground use,” he explained.
