Kyrgyzstan’s inflationary backdrop is weakening, according to Eurasian Development Bank economists.
According to economists, inflation has continued to slow this year.
In October, the consumer price index increased 9.2% year over year, down from 11.3% in May 2023.
Furthermore, the year-on-year increase in the cost of the food basket in Kyrgyzstan fell from 8.4% in May to 5.7% in October.
The Eurasian Development Bank economists attribute this to the expiration of the impacts of global food market price pressure.
