Kyrgyzstan cut its exports to China by 2.8% from January to November 2023, according to China’s General Administration of Customs.
Kyrgyzstan’s exports totaled $72.9 million.
During the same period from January to November 2022, Kyrgyzstan sold goods to China worth $75 million.
Earlier, Kyrgyzstan’s Economy and Commerce Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev said that the republic is looking at trade channels to Russia, Turkey, Iran, and the European Union in order to boost its export capacity.
Amangeldiev announced plans to build an e-commerce park and a commercial pavilion within Uzbekistan’s Termez International Trade Center.
“In terms of the business climate, the efforts will be directed toward implementing electronic licensing and permitting, as well as prohibiting the issuance of new forms of licenses and permits,” he said.
