Kazakhstan’s enormous Rozhkovskoye gas condensate field is now officially operational, marking a key milestone for Kazakhstan’s energy industry.
By 2040, the Rozhkovskoye field is estimated to generate 14.2 billion cubic meters of raw gas and 7.1 million tons of condensate.
KazMunayGas (50%), Hungary’s MOL Group (27.5%), and China’s Sinopec (22.5%) are part of the joint venture regulating subsurface utilization.
The project has already received $534 million in funding.
The development of Rozhkovskoye is expected to considerably contribute to Kazakhstan’s National Fund, contributing 501 billion tenge, with an extra 110 billion tenge to the local budget.
Furthermore, stockholders want to invest at least 3.1 billion tenge in the region’s socioeconomic development.
In addition, 1% of the investment amount will be dedicated to training Kazakhstani workers on a yearly basis.
