Kyrgyzstan’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has topped 1 trillion soms ($11.2 billion), according to Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“Kyrgyzstan’s GDP surpassed 1 trillion 72.6 billion soms, with the republic’s budget topping 6 billion 404 million dollars,” Japarov said during a ceremony in which certificates of honor and gratitude were awarded on behalf of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Japarov emphasized the government’s successes in the education sector, stating that hundreds of schools have been built and inaugurated in the last 2.5 years. The State Construction Committee estimates that an additional 128 schools, including 110 new school buildings, will open this year.
“Kyrgyzstan’s economy’s excellent recognition by respectable international financial organizations,” Japarov said.
