Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz signed an energy cooperation agreement with Jordan’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, in Riyadh on Thursday.
The agreement aims to establish a framework for cooperation between the two parties to achieve their common goals and interests.
The agreement includes enhancing cooperation in digital transformation and innovation in the energy sector, and working on developing gender partnerships between both parties to localize materials, products, and services related to all energy sectors and supply chains and its technologies, and collaborating on the development of relevant sustainable materials standards and regulations.
The agreement includes the promotion of cooperation between the two parties in the energy sectors, which include petroleum, gas, electricity, renewable energy, energy efficiency, petrochemicals, and the development of cooperation in the field of circular carbon economy and its technologies that aim to mitigate the effects of climate change, such as carbon capture, reuse, transport, and storage, in addition to the hydrogen sector.
