The Japanese stock market indices rose at the end of today’s trading session, delivering a notable weekly performance that has not been seen since March 2022.
The Tokyo Stock Exchange closed yesterday with a 1.5% increase, equivalent to 527.25 points. The Nikkei index continued to rise and reached a new record level of 35,577.11 points, the highest level achieved in the past 34 years.
The Topix index, which includes a larger number of stocks, increased by 0.46% or 11.36 points, reaching 2494.23 points.
