The Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, Osama Rabie, affirmed that navigation in the canal is regular in both directions, denying the validity of rumors circulating in the maritime sector regarding the temporary suspension of navigation due to developments in the Bab el-Mandeb region.
Rabei clarified in a statement that the Suez Canal is providing its navigation services as usual, as tomorrow the canal will witness the passage of 44 ships from both directions, with a total net cargo of 2.3 million tons.
The Suez Canal Authority emphasized its eagerness to establish direct communication channels with companies and shipping lines, as well as to coordinate joint efforts that serve the maritime community and ensure the sustainability of global supply chains.
