Group BMW announced that it delivered 99,972 electric vehicles in the Chinese market in 2023, marking a yearly increase of over 138%.
The rapid growth in sales of vehicles powered by new energy sources in China has boosted demand for charging equipment and energy supplements. By the end of last year, the group’s public charging network had expanded to over 580,000 public charging posts throughout China, covering more than 320 cities.
In August of last year, BMW launched a program of supercharging stations with supports that facilitate highly efficient charging with a capacity of 600 kilowatt-hours.
By the end of 2023, the group has successfully constructed 50 stations of this kind in China, encompassing 17 major and medium-sized cities.
In the past year, the group delivered over 820,000 vehicles under the brands “BMW” and “MINI” in the Chinese market.
