The stock performance in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries varied on Monday, but the Saudi stock market index, known as TASI, surpassed the 12100 point mark.
In the UAE, the Dubai market index fell by 0.07% to 4101.29 points, while the Abu Dhabi market index decreased by 0.14% to 9777.67 points.
In Saudi Arabia, the main market index “TASI” rose by 0.51% to 12122.11 points, with a trading volume of 311.91 million shares, valued at 8.66 billion riyals.
The general market index in the Kuwait Stock Exchange increased by 0.72% to 7263.54 points, as a result of trading 205.29 million shares, worth 73.23 million dinars.
The Bahrain General Index increased by 0.12% to reach 1985.51 points. The total quantity of traded stocks amounted to 2.048 million shares with a total value of 784,670 Bahraini dinars.
In Qatar, the Qatar Stock Exchange index rose by 0.23% to reach 10533 points. The market volume reached approximately 477 million Qatari riyals.
In the Sultanate of Oman, the Muscat stock exchange index “30” decreased by 0.36% to reach 4612.66 points. The trading value amounted to 1.75 million rials.
Outside the Gulf region, the Egyptian stock market index, EGX 30, increased by 1.06% to reach 26,250.73 points.
