The CEO of “Open AI”, Sam Altman, is engaging in discussions with investors in the Middle East and chip manufacturers about launching a new project for modern chips.
According to Reuters on Saturday, citing the Financial Times, the talks included major investors from the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi, as well as “Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company.” Altmann is seeking financial support for the project.
“Open AI is heading towards this step to meet its chip requirements without heavily relying on Nvidia.”
