Michael Evans, the CEO of Alibaba Group, the Chinese giant company, emphasized that the World Government Summit provided an opportunity to learn from others’ experiences and explore emerging markets worldwide, as well as to meet with prominent representatives of global companies and entrepreneurs.
In his statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” during his participation in the third day of the World Government Summit in Dubai, Evans called for the continuation of that global forum in the UAE, which succeeded in uniting and gathering a group of world leaders and influencers at one table to determine new directions.
He added that the world needs more of these meetings and sessions to discuss perspectives and inspired ideas and apply them to the challenges facing the world.
The Executive Director of the Chinese group “Alibaba” expressed his appreciation for the United Arab Emirates for organizing an exceptional edition of the World Government Summit, which brought together global experts, entrepreneurs, government representatives, and the private sector under one roof.
He added that the global summit included many dialogues and discussions about the role of technology in the labor market, noting the many bilateral and joint meetings he held on the sidelines of the summit with entrepreneurs around the world.
The Global Summit for Governments 2024 concludes today its third and final day of activities in Dubai, under the theme “Envisioning the Governments of the Future,” with broad regional and international participation.
The closing day of the summit witnessed the participation of several heads of state and government, along with 120 governmental delegations, over 85 international and regional organizations, and global institutions. Additionally, elite global thinkers and experts were present, with more than 4000 participants attending.
