Sony Interactive Entertainment announced on Tuesday that it will lay off about 900 employees in its PlayStation unit, or 8% of its global workforce, becoming the latest technology company to announce reductions in staff.
Jim Ryan, the President and CEO of the unit, said in an email to employees that was publicly released: “After careful study and several discussions with leadership over several months, it has become clear that changes must be made to continue the growth of the business and develop the company.” (Agencies)
