Dutch pension fund APG, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, and Indonesian Sovereign Wealth Fund announced on Wednesday their investment in the development of toll roads in Indonesia.
This is the first funding offered by the road investment platform since its establishment in 2021, in partnership between APG, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, and the Indonesian Investment Authority (Indonesian Sovereign Wealth Fund).
APG Fund said that the investment is designated for the sectors of Cianjur-Pagelaran and Pagelaran-Pemalang along the Trans Java highway, which already applies toll fees.
The retirement fund did not disclose the investment amount, but stated that the investment platform aims to invest a total of 2.75 billion dollars.
In April of last year, the Indonesian Investment Authority signed agreements to invest over 39 trillion Indonesian rupiahs, or 2.72 billion dollars at that time, in toll roads, including two segments of the Trans-Java highway.
