Taiwan’s Deputy Economy Minister Lin Chuang Ning said on Monday that his country would make more efforts to reassure the world that it was a safe and stable country.
Lin told Taiwan’s parliament that geopolitical developments were uncontrollable, but the government would continue to help the semiconductor manufacturer maintain Taiwan’s core competitiveness and create value in the global supply chain.
He expected that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturer, the world’s largest producer of electronic chips and semiconductors, would continue to drive Taiwan’s technological development, pledging to deliver a global message that Taiwan was safe and stable.
US billionaire investor Warren Buffett announced a cut in his stake in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company for geopolitical reasons.
