China seeks to strengthen cooperation with Saudi Arabia in the areas of artificial intelligence, photovoltaic cells, manufacturing of new energy vehicles, and aircraft, according to Industry and Information Technology Minister Jin Zhuanglong after meeting Saudi Investment Minister Khaled al-Falih in Beijing on Sunday.
The two sides focused on developing the partnership between the two countries in the industry and information technology sectors, according to a statement by the Chinese Ministry.
“China is accelerating the shift towards a new manufacturing system; Saudi Arabia is rich in resources and has a broad market; and there is tremendous potential for cooperation between the two sides,” China’s Industry and Information Technology Minister Jin Zhuanglong said.
“The two countries’ desire to jointly maintain the security and stability of the industrial chain and global supplies,” Zhuanglong added.
In turn, Al-Falih said that the Kingdom attaches great importance to cooperation with Asia’s largest economy and the second in the world, especially in the fields of industry and information technology, and expanding the prospects for trade and investment, to the mutual benefit of both sides.
