China’s exports fell 12.4 per cent in June year-on-year, while imports fell 6.8 per cent, customs data showed, in the worst export performance from the world’s second-largest economy in three years. A survey of economists had predicted a decline of 9.5 per cent in exports and 4 per cent in imports, according to Reuters.
Data from China’s General Administration of Customs showed today that the country imported 282.1 million tons of crude oil in the first six months of 2023. This involves an increase of 11.7 per cent over the 252.52 million tons imported in the same period last year.
