On Thursday, most stocks in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries experienced decline in the end-of-week session, except for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
In the UAE, the Abu Dhabi market index rose by 0.085% to reach 9362.6 points, while the Dubai market index declined by 0.06% to reach 4159.10 points. UAE stocks still have the Friday session remaining in the trading week.
In Saudi Arabia, the main stock market index, “Tasi”, rose by 0.3% to 12202.78 points, through trading 342.93 million shares worth 9.279 billion riyals.
In Kuwait, the general market index dropped by 0.08% to 7256.16 points, with the trading of 246.11 million shares worth 75.59 million dinars.
In Bahrain, the general index increased by 0.23% to 2068.25 points, with 1.92 million shares traded worth 479,409 Bahraini dinars.
The Qatar Stock Exchange index declined by 0.29% to 9960 points. The market trading volume reached approximately 454 million Qatari riyals.
The Muscat Stock Exchange index fell by 0.28% to reach 4546.607 points, with a trading volume of 10.82 million shares valued at 2.10 million rials.
Outside the Gulf region, the Egyptian stock market index, EGX 30, rose by 1.81% to 28,411.41 points.
