The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) had funneled 507 million euros into Tajikistan as of September 30, supporting a varied range of 71 ongoing projects.
The EBRD has provided 447 million euros, accounting for 88% of the total, to support sustainable infrastructure projects in Tajikistan.
Furthermore, 34 million euros, or 7% of the portfolio, were targeted for financial institutions, while 26 million euros, or 5%, were designated for initiatives spanning industry, commerce, and agriculture.
By September 30, the EBRD’s total investment in Tajikistan had reached 927 million euros across 163 projects.
The yearly funding split shows a significant commitment, with 131 million euros in 2020, 56 million euros in 2021, and 21 million euros in 2022.
The EBRD’s recently announced country plan, which will last until 2025, intends to improve Tajikistan’s infrastructure, boost regional connections, and provide job possibilities inside the country.
