The Emirati Global Aluminum Company announced the signing of an agreement in which the company will supply alumina to the Industrial Alumina Company as part of efforts to drive the industrial sector by manufacturing specialized alumina products and contribute to achieving the industrial growth strategy in the United Arab Emirates’ “300 Billion Project.”
The industrial alumina company, Methan Group and Bathoal Company partnership, intends to develop the first of its kind complex in the United Arab Emirates for manufacturing specialized alumina products in the Khalifa Economic Zone (KIZAD) in Abu Dhabi.
These products are widely used in the production of heat-resistant materials and abrasive materials used in industrial applications.
The process of supplying alumina contributes to the expansion of the local business sales of the UAE Global Aluminum Company, which in turn helps to enhance local industrial activities.
In addition to alumina production, the Emirates Global Aluminium company sells approximately 10% of its raw aluminum to 26 local customers in the United Arab Emirates for manufacturing various products such as window frames and car parts for both domestic use and export worldwide.
Abdulnasir bin Kalban, the CEO of Emirates Global Aluminum, said, “Achieving sustainable economic growth aligns with the company’s objectives and provides us with opportunities to innovate in the aluminum sector towards a comprehensive modern life.”
This trade agreement, which involves supplying alumina to a new local industrial sector, comes as part of our contribution to the development of the industrial sector, in line with the objectives of the “300 Billion Project”. The project is expected to create 200 job opportunities in the construction field and 150 permanent job opportunities upon operation. Production is expected to commence in 2025.
