Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla, met with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Cairo, Ambassador Geert Lama, where they discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of mining and geological survey.
The delegation of Kazakh company Kazakh Geophysics included Bekasil Okishev, General Manager of the company and Dmitry Enkin, General Manager of Technical Affairs in the presence of Ierbol Jarvinbayaoli, Adviser to the Kazakh Embassy in Cairo.
During the meeting, Engineer Tariq al-Mulla received an invitation from his Kazakh counterpart, the Minister of Energy, conveyed by the Kazakh Ambassador to attend Kazakhstan’s Energy Week, to be held from 3 to 6 October in the framework of strengthening Egyptian-Kazakh energy relations with the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The company expressed its willingness to cooperate with Egypt in this area with its expertise and techniques, especially as it implemented them. Successful survey activities before in Canada.
Company officials praised the impressive success of the Egyptian Mining and Regulation Forum, which enhances the Ministry’s efforts in attracting investments.
The meeting also touched upon the importance of Kazakhstan’s Energy Week in exploring prospects for energy cooperation, especially as there are 200 energy and minerals companies operating in Kazakhstan.
