Tesla CEO Elon Musk warned that the electric car manufacturer is not immune from the risks to the global economy.
The US billionaire said he would be in a difficult situation over the next 12 months.
At the company’s annual shareholder meeting in Austin, Texas, Musk spoke about the demand for cars and more profits than competitors in a slow economy, and also said that he would conduct third-party scrutiny of the cobalt mines that provided Tesla with a key battery component.
Referring to even difficult times for Tesla, the leader in the electric vehicle market, Musk said the company would try to advertise its vehicles, which it had never done before.
Musk added: “Tesla is not immune from the global economic environment. I expect macroeconomic matters to be difficult for at least the next 12 months “.
