The electric vehicle manufacturing company, Tesla, has recently decided to advertise on the platform formerly known as Twitter, called “X,” creating a lot of buzz since both companies are owned by billionaire Elon Musk.
He maintained for years that he does not prefer advertisements, and stated that Tesla does not pay or offer discounts to celebrities for driving their cars, and that they do not spend on advertisements.
Many fans of Tesla cars and investors in the company have often suggested that the company should at least try advertising. However, Elon Musk, the CEO, consistently opposed this idea and went as far as saying that he “hates” advertising.
Followers say that things have started to change after the purchase of the ad-based website “Twitter” by Mask, which has been renamed to “Ex”, and the CEO announced that Tesla will indeed begin advertising.
Many people were suspicious that this would be a way for Musk to transfer more money from Tesla to X, especially since the electric car manufacturing company has already started paying for over ten premium accounts on X.
Last year, they began advertising, with targeted ads, on Google but distanced themselves from Twitter (X currently).
