Emirates Airlines has announced its intention to operate a fifth weekly flight on the Dubai – Rio de Janeiro – Buenos Aires route, starting from December 7, 2024.
The new weekly flight will provide increased capacity on Saturdays to serve the Argentine capital and meet growing demand for travel on this route.
Additionally, the service, which operates via Rio de Janeiro, will provide customers in Argentina with more options for direct travel to and from Brazil.
Emirates Airlines will operate its fifth weekly flight between Brazil, Argentina, and Dubai using a Boeing 777-200LR aircraft with a two-class configuration.
The Emirates flight EK247 departs from Dubai at 8:05 am and arrives in Rio de Janeiro at 3:55 pm. It then continues its flight to Buenos Aires at 5:30 pm, reaching its destination at 8:55 pm.
As for the return flight, EK248 departs from the Argentine capital at 11:30 pm, arrives in Rio de Janeiro at 1:15 am, and takes off to Dubai at 2:55 am, reaching its destination at 12:30 am the following day.
The new flight, starting from December 7th, will offer 302 seats in both economy and business classes. Customers will also be able to enjoy the comfort and privacy that the business class cabin offers, with seat distribution of (2-2-2).
It is expected that the expansion of Emirates Airlines service to Brazil and Argentina will contribute to providing additional connecting flights for travelers between these two countries and other popular destinations through the vast global network of the airline, including the United Arab Emirates, Japan, Thailand, the Maldives, Egypt, the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, Turkey, South Korea, India, Australia, and Indonesia.
Considering that Brazil and Argentina are home to the largest Lebanese communities in South America, Emirates Airlines regularly transports traveling customers to and from Beirut.
Additionally, citizens of Brazil and Argentina can easily enjoy visa-free travel to Dubai, making it a preferred destination for vacations and short stopovers.
The most important tourist markets for Brazil and Argentina include the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, Russia, and the United Arab Emirates.
The fifth weekly flight will also contribute to facilitating trade between Argentina, Brazil, and the rest of the world. The wide-bodied Boeing 777-200LR aircraft can accommodate a cargo capacity of up to 20 tons per flight to transport exports from Argentina and Brazil to consumers in the Middle East, Europe, and other markets, while supporting the import of essential goods, including pharmaceuticals.
